Privacy Policy

Replete ("Replete", "we", "us") is a vegan nutrition companion app operated by Replete. We built Replete to be privacy-first: you don't need an account to use it, and your meal and nutrition data stays on your device. This policy explains what limited information the app touches and why.
The short version. No sign-up, no profile in the cloud. Your meals, photos, and nutrition profile live on your phone. The only data that leaves your device is what's needed to process a subscription, to look up nutrition facts, or feedback you choose to send us — and we never sell your data.
Information stored on your device
The following stays local to your phone and is not uploaded to us:
- Your nutrition profile — diet mode, goals, and the body metrics you enter during onboarding (gender, age, height, weight, activity level), used to personalize your targets.
- Your meals — the photos you capture, the detected ingredients, and the estimated nutrients for each meal.
- App preferences — settings and progress.
Uninstalling the app removes this local data from your device.
Information that is processed externally
Camera & meal photos
Replete uses your camera so you can scan your plate. A photo may be processed to identify the foods in it. We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not build a personal profile from them.
Nutrition lookups
To estimate the nutrients in a meal, the app may query public nutrition databases (such as Open Food Facts and the USDA FoodData Central). These requests contain the food being looked up, not your identity.
Subscriptions & purchases
Replete is a paid subscription. Payments are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app user ID to your device to tell whether your subscription is active; this ID is not linked to your name or email.
Feedback you send us
If you choose to send feedback from within the app, we store your message and a small amount of context to help us understand and reply to it. This is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and may include:
- your message and sentiment, and the answers to the short feedback prompts;
- basic technical context — app version, platform, OS version, device name, the screen you were on, days since install, your diet mode, and whether you have an active subscription;
- the anonymous app user ID described above, which lets us send a private reply back to your device.
Sending feedback is entirely optional.
Notifications
With your permission, Replete can send a daily check-in reminder via your device's notification system. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
What we don't do
- We don't require an account, name, or email to use the app.
- We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We don't use your meal photos or nutrition data for advertising.

Children
Replete is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly: clear it by uninstalling the app, turn off notifications in your device settings, and manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account. If you've sent us feedback and would like it deleted, email us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
